Lukashenko says Wagner personnel to stay in Belarus

Belarusian strongman Alexander Lukashenko said Friday that Wagner members would remain in his country, after the presumed death of their leader Yevgeny Prigozhin renewed uncertainty around the group’s fate. “Wagner lived, is alive, and will live in Belarus,” Lukashenko was cited as saying by state-run news agency Belta, without specifying who would lead the personnel.
