Fake News Mediaite Runs With BS Story Claiming Kari Lake is in ‘Active Negotiations’ to Join NewsMax AFTER Lake and NewsMax Deny Bogus Claim From So-Called “Trump Insider”

Far-left Mediaite reported on Tuesday that Kari Lake is making a return to her decades-long career in broadcast journalism, citing a seemingly anti-Lake “Trump insider,” despite Lake and NewsMax confirming that the claims are untrue.

Lake vehemently denied the report, telling The Gateway Pundit, “I told them it was false, and so did Newsmax. But this propagandist ran with the story anyway. Nothing, absolutely nothing in that story is true.”

The Gateway Pundit has reported on concerning leaks from within the Trump Transition Team, seeking to discredit Trump’s appointees, such as Pete Hegseth.

It appears some nefarious RINO individual or individuals are now targeting Kari Lake with lies and smearing her in hopes of ending her massive influence in the GOP and MAGA movement. The source reportedly claims that Trump "doesn’t like to hire people who lose” and says that Lake would be a good fit for NewsMax because they're looking for personalities who are "damaged" and "cheap."

However, it is well known that President Trump does not see Lake as a loser and has commended her several times for standing up and speaking out against the rigged elections in Arizona. Trump further endorsed Lake in her stolen elections for Governor and Senate, calling her "one of the toughest fighters in our movement" in his endorsement of Lake for the Senate late last year.

Lake told The Gateway Pundit that she continues to have a "great relationship with President Trump."

The Gateway Pundit readers know that in 2022, Kari Lake was running as the Trump-endorsed candidate for Governor and led by double digits in the polls leading up to election day when 60% of machines failed in Maricopa County, disenfranchising Republican voters en masse. Additionally, hundreds of thousands of ballots with no chain of custody or signature verification ID checks were counted in Lake’s stolen election for Governor.

This comes after Lake's questionable race for Senate in Arizona. The Gateway Pundit reported that Maricopa County began putting out bogus numbers right when it was expected that Lake would take the lead in the race. We further reported on other bizarre anomalies across the state in Pima, Yuma, and Cochise County. Despite President Trump and GOP candidates backed by Lake winning by a landslide, we're supposed to believe that Lake lost to radical left Democrat Ruben Gallego. Recall that Stephen Richer, the top election official in Maricopa County, where over 60% of Arizona voters reside, also sued Kari Lake for defamation ahead of the 2024 election, which he oversaw. It was further revealed in court documents that Richer is a self-proclaimed “anti-MAGA” individual whose life mission, in his own words, is to “make life hell for Kari Lake.” How can anybody trust this guy to run a fair election?

Additionally, this reporting comes after Lake made an appearance at the Mar a Lago where she received a warm greeting from President Trump.

The report seems to be another attempt to ensure that Lake does not land a position in the Trump Administration or run for office again.

The Kari Lake War Room account highlighted the bogus story on X, providing receipts of Lake denying the claims and commenting, “Both Newsmax & Kari Lake confirmed there was zero truth to this story, but the Fake News still ran with the Fake Story.” The post continues, "You do not hate the Media enough."

Someone from Mediaite apparently texted Lake, saying, "Multiple sources have told Mediaite you're in 'active negotiations' to join Newsmax as talent. Please let me know if you'd care to comment." She responded, "Get better sources."

Still, Mediaite ran with their bogus story, headlined, "Scoop: Kari Lake in ‘Active Negotiations’ to Join Newsmax After Senate Loss."

Using a so-called Trump insider, the outlet claimed with certainty that their source was correct and Lake is in "active negotiations" with Newsmax.

Acknowledging that both parties denied the claim, Mediaite cited a "source" to discredit the denial by calling NewsMax "serial liars." Notably, they buried the lede, confessing that Lake and NewsMax denied the claims near the bottom of the story in the tenth paragraph.

When reached for comment about her talks with Newsmax, Lake responded by text: “Get better sources.”

A spokesman for Newsmax denied any talks with Lake, saying in a statement, “we have had ZERO discussions with Kari Lake to join Newsmax.”

When asked about those denials, one source who confirmed the talks called Newsmax “serial liars.”
